The annual young people's festival CultureShock is moving from its base of 3 years in Northallerton to Pickering Showground.  The reason for the move is to allow young people form other areas to access the  event.  Similarly to previous years free buses will be offered from youth centres across North Yorkshire.  The festival is taking place between 2-4th July and offers school days in addition to the main “youth arts day” on the Saturday.
